Aron Proujanski

Biography

Aron Proujanski, born in Chernivtsi (Ukraine) in 1950, received musical training since his early childhood, initially in accordion and piano playing. From 1966 to 1970 he studied conducting and choir in his hometown and during that time he already conducted several choirs. Subsequently, he began his vocal studies at the State Music Pedagogical College “Gnesiny” with Prof. N. D. Spiller, which he completed in 1977 with a diploma as an opera, concert and song singer and teacher. Since then, numerous performances have taken him all over the world. In December 1992 Aron Proujanski was awarded the Order of Meritorious Patriotic Artist by the President of the Russian Republic Boris Yeltsin. He has lived with his family in Düsseldorf since 1992 and has sung regularly in the WDR Radio Choir since 1993. In addition, he has had many concert engagements at home and abroad. Since 2004 he has also been passing on his experience to students.

Since 2011 he teaches as a lecturer for singing at the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein in Düsseldorf.

Since 2021 he teaches as a lecturer for singing and is Head of vocal department at the Beethoven Conservatorium in Tegelen.
